Resume Tips for a Great First Impression

Many career websites offer great resume tips on writing your own, however, unless you are a professional writer and are experienced creating resumes and interviewing applicants, my advice is to hire someone to do it for you. The few dollars you invest in getting a professional resume could result in getting you employed in a field of high paying jobs.

Preparing for a job interview can be stressful enough. You don't need the added pressure that creating your own resume can bring.

Many applicants don't realize the impact that a few sheets of paper can have on your first impression at your job interview. Upon meeting the person who will interview you for possibly one of many high paying jobs it is important to make a GREAT first impression....a mediocre one will not do.

I've heard of many applicants who did great at the interview process. They dressed appropriately, answered questions confidently, carried a positive attitude, and even gave that great firm handshake. However, the hiring managers didn't hire them because of a less than professional resume.

So remember not to take your resume lightly when interviewing for high paying jobs. Read the resume tips at the recommended links below and be sure to apply them to the final copy that your professional writer created for you.

Also, when working with a resume writer, don't make the mistake of accepting the first draft that is provided to you. Compare it with advice and tips from different sources before approving it for the final draft. Remember that you are hiring the person to do a job for you and you must take control of the final product by following guidelines and examples from other sources and not only from the writers own website.

Whether you hire someone or decide to write it on your own, I created a short list of websites to make the process easier and less stressful:

This website, www.hireme101.com has valuable tips for a polished resume.

This resume guide has good advice.

Consider downloading the resume ebook offered at this website.

When your professional resume is completed and you're satisfied that it follows the advice and resume tips that you have researched, it's time to review the job interview page.
