Monster Jobs?

Monster jobs to me means a high paying job that doesn't require a college degree. I was fortunate to get a high paying job and am now on target to end my first year with over $85K, and it wasn't that difficult. This website is to share my story so others can hopefully do what I did to get a high paying job without a college degree ....and hopefully enjoy a better quality of life.

In these pages, I refer to monster jobs in an entirely positive and glowing light.

What comes to your mind when you hear the phrase “monster jobs”?

Some automatically assume that the word “monster” implies a negative---a huge task, a hard undertaking, a difficult field of work, backbreaking labor, unrelenting demands and hours.

On the other hand, some people view it as a positive---the possibility of earning a big salary, doing meaningful work, entering an interesting area of responsibility, making a difference, and being challenged, all without a degree and with no experience.

All of us seek the best jobs. This is true for people of all ages and levels, whether what is being considered are jobs for college students, jobs for teens, entry level jobs or high paying jobs with no college degree in an industry facing a critical worker shortage. There is no one on the planet that I know of who would deliberately choose to labor at an awful job. Do you agree?

Personally, I would rather exert myself on a job that pays me well. These are monster jobs in my mind, because they produce great gains and rewards for the time, effort and investment I am willing to put in.

So why is it that many don’t have it yet? Where are the high paying monster jobs? Why don’t I have one of these monster jobs?

I am pretty sure many people have tried doing a local job search. They may have made a list of possible career choices. Some might even have developed a career plan or have taken free career tests, in order to practice or learn what they can about what types of jobs they are suited for.

The problem is sometimes we all have a case of tunnel vision. We get stuck in a job mire and feel as if we cannot extricate ourselves from here. The first problem is looking for a job. I know many prospective employees who search in places that everyone else looks at also. In essence, they all end up in competition for the same positions.

If you are a teen-ager, don't apply where all the other teenagers apply. Most of them end up serving at counters and restaurants, cleaning up in stores, or delivering pizza.....or better known as low paying dead end jobs. Even worst, in these tough economic times, perhaps even the lowliest paying post has already been taken.

What if you applied, aced the job interview and gotten the position? You are happy for a time. After all, a job is a job. You believe you are in an enviable spot. Others have not been as lucky as you---or so you thought. Then you toil and labor at a job month after month, year after year and realize you are not getting paid enough.

For years I was stuck in low paying dead end jobs, and struggled to support my wife and 2 daughters. In 2006 I was 48 years old and didn't have a college degree. I was only earning $14 per hour and there was never money left over to give my family the fun things in life...like a treehouse for my daughters, taking my daughters to the movies, buying flowers for my wife, and taking my family on fun vacations...things that I dreamt about, but could never afford.

To increase my chance of getting a high paying job, I tried searches on www.monster jobs .com, but no luck. It was truly a frustrating undertaking to attempt to obtain information, and not find it. I searched many sites, but they could not point me in the proper direction of high paying jobs without a college degree.

Finally, I even toyed with the idea of going back to school. At this stage in my life, I even considered college. But after researching the salaries of college graduates, I was disappointed. Teachers with 4 year degrees barely earn an average of $35K per year, and average engineers are lucky to bring home an annual income of $50K.

What I needed was a change in my life...a career change....I was tired of bad results at monster, so I started this site to help people find high paying jobs with no college degree. I knew if someone else could get high paying jobs with no college degree, I could, too, so I started on my quest to find out what I needed to do to be like them.
