Make money at home is the best way to escape the 9-5 grind. Working 9-5 is overrated. You have to leave your kids with unprofessional babysitters, and then deal with demanding bosses who are only looking out for their bottom line. If you were raised in the traditional manner, then waking up early and putting on a good business suit, seemed like the way to do things. This was the good old lifestyle for many people and they rarely deviated from it.

It is truly mind-boggling how much the world of work has changed and reinvented itself in the 21st century. Jobs and careers unheard of in the past, has taken shape and has evolved in many forms. I see children and teens pounding away like pros at a computer keyboard and I marvel at what technology has made possible for them and for all of us.

Sure, we all have to make ends meet. There’s always rent to pay, bills to handle, and mouths to feed. It may not be a viable option in these days of challenging finances to just stop working, so as you consider career choices, you may want to look into which high paying jobs are presently experiencing a worker shortage.

If you are thinking that quitting top paying careers cold turkey in today’s business environment is good, consider first the following questions. Do you have a career plan? Have you looked at other possible career choices? Have you actually done your homework with regards to how you will live?

Some people apply for entry level jobs and pass the job interview. Then they find that several years or even decades later—they are still there living paycheck to paycheck. It’s true some have moved up the job ladder, but some stay stuck at their entry level jobs and fail to advance. They are at a standstill and think they just have to take it, in order to keep their heads above water.

But just because you need the money to survive, doesn’t mean you have to stay at a job you can’t stand (which is almost the equivalent of being a slave).

Perhaps it is time to learn how you can make money at home. So, what’s the difference between a slave and an employee? Not much. While a slave is literally forced to perform work he or she doesn’t want to, employees make the CHOICE every day to drive to a job they hate.

You see, the keyword there is CHOICE. In a manner of speaking, we have all become slaves to the need for money in order to survive. Granted, there are individuals who are quite happy with their lot and enjoy their work. Perhaps, they are even paid highly for it and are satisfied. I agree it does happen. But for every happy and satisfied employee, you get a ratio of 10 others who are desperately wishing they were elsewhere. If they could, they would probably quit their jobs on the spot!

But they think there’s nowhere else to turn. For instance, some individuals who have opted not to gain a college diploma, take any entry level jobs. They believe they have no other alternatives to college and cannot gain the best jobs. They do not try to explore different possibilities and think the world of high paying jobs and top paying careers is beyond their domain. Likewise, they believe they cannot make money at home or think it’s a cop out.

No one is forcing you to labor away your most precious years for someone else. Maybe you’re yearning to make money at home but think it’s out of your reach.

And for those who think stay at home jobs are poor excuses for work, think again.

I’m here to tell you in the best possible way, you’re wrong! I know, because I was in your shoes. After years of working for someone else, I decided to take matters into my own hands and make money at home.

Remember, it pays to be prepared. That means going out there, finding, researching and obtaining information. This is what I did. Note that I did not come to the realizations I have like the proverbial “light bulb in my head”. I was just like any ordinary Joe — I went through many transformations in my quest for my future.
