The Job Outlook Is Promising For This Industry Of Top Paying Jobs Without College And No Experience

As you know, the job outlook for the next few years isn’t good, but if you continue reading and explore the links throughout this site you will find resources to increase your chances of finding good paying jobs without a college degree, just like I did a couple of years ago, and I now earn over $85,000 per year with no college. I started this website to help job seekers do what I did to find some of the best paying jobs and best careers in this often ignored industry.

While most industries in the United States are hunkering down for an extended period of financial hibernation, there are some industries that are offering high paying jobs to applicants without college and with no experience. It is important that job searchers recognize the dynamics that are going on in the marketplace and adjust accordingly.

Some people adjust by moving to new areas of the country where top paying jobs and some of the best careers are more plentiful. Some go back to school and invest tens of thousands of dollars trying to get a college degree in an attempt to be more “marketable”.

Unfortunately, most people don’t change their job search strategy. Because they are competing with so many other people for a relatively few number of top paying jobs, many people stay unemployed for long periods of time. But a few smart folks simply stay in their area but shift their focus to a new career path, one where there is relatively little competition, and where some of the best paying jobs are plentiful and can be had without college. If you are willing to “go with the flow” to where the jobs are, then your job outlook is looking good!

The one industry that has a great job outlook of good paying jobs (many that pay over $25 per hour) is the “power supply” industry where managers are hustling to replace thousands of retiring baby-boomers throughout the country. Make sure you explore the links throughout this site which has news articles and discusses how there is actually a worker shortage for power plant jobs. This industry has some of the highest paying jobs that you can get without having a college degree, so go take a look if you are without a college degree. You may be surprised that power plant jobs are available in your own backyard.

There are three major factors that are converging to make the power supply industry one of the top employers over the next few years for people who need high paying power plant jobs, but who don’t have a college degree.

The first factor is that the demand for energy has never been greater. As more babies are born, as more immigrants come to the United States, and as our quality of life gradually improves, more and more energy is needed. The utility companies that own the power plants have to build new infrastructure to stay ahead of the demand for electricity, and that in turn, will create power plant operator jobs. So they need to build new power plants and distribution centers, and string thousands of miles of new lines to the growing suburbs. Demand is strong, and getting stronger and they must invest heavily in upgrading existing facilities too.

The second major factor affecting the job outlook in the power supply / utility industry is the fact that most utility companies did an incredible amount of hiring back in the 70’s and 80’s to fill power plant operator jobs. Now a large percentage of their best, most experienced employees hired back then are at retirement age, and are being forced out of their jobs. And because these are highly skilled jobs, the utilities have to promote people up through the ranks from within. Now that so many workers are leaving and making room at the top, more rooming is opening in top paying entry level positions, and these are among some of the best paying entry level positions that are available to applicants without a degree and with no experience.

The third major factor affecting the job outlook in the power supply / utility industry is the fundamental trend to move towards “greener” sources of energy which in turn, creates solar power plant jobs and opportunities. Fossil fuels won’t last forever, and the utility companies are being forced to move towards greater use of solar and wind and natural gas sources. They want to stay at the forefront of this shift which has been accelerated by the incoming Obama administration, which has budgeted hundreds of millions of dollars towards this shift to more sustainable fuels. And regardless of the type of fuel used to create electricity, positions will be created and applicants will get hired for good paying entry level power plant jobs.

What that means for you is that there are lots of great paying jobs in the power supply industry. Though the job outlook is bleak for many other sectors of the economy, the job outlook is fantastic for the power supply industry. This website has numerous great resources to help you find and prepare for these positions. So take a look around and begin your investigation of this great opportunity that is waiting for you to take advantage of it.
