An interview thank you letter is your next step to getting hired. (STEP 6)
Your first priority after your interview is to send an interview thank you note. This is an important step on your way into a field of
high paying entry level jobs.
This can not be over emphasized. Immediately after your job interview, craft a typed or handwritten interview thank you note on nice paper to your potential boss. Avoid sending email—employers are bombarded with tons of messages every day and it can seem a little less personal and authentic.
Emphasize your interest in the position and how you feel you can benefit their team. And request information that you can review to learn more about and prepare for the position. On the next page, you’ll see a sample thank you note that you can use as your template (but make it yours so you don’t sound like everyone else!).
If you followed all of the steps to prepare for your interview, you’ll be able to stand apart from the other competition, impress your future boss, and win a high paying job. But remember, you have to master the art of the job interview. This is your one and only chance to get the job you want—so prepare, practice and present yourself as a young professional who is smart, capable and ready to excel in a new career. There are many good paying jobs and this is one of the first steps in getting hired.
