There are lots of free job postings to be found, but the ones I’m going to mention are high paying jobs at power plants. Positions such as office clerks, security jobs , operators, welding jobs , and mechanics, to name a few.

This site is about free job postings in the power supply industry, better known as your regional electric company. It’s a great industry that offers a variety of career choices for applicants of all ages, and I especially think high school seniors who are looking for high paying jobs for teenagers will find their local electric company a gold mind for free job posting of cool jobs.

Let’s be clear about something: free job postings are simply how you hear about opportunities, but what are much more important are your preparations to get qualified for the jobs that are being posted. Once you’re qualified, the process of getting hired is less stressful. So getting qualified should be your focus, not the job postings themselves.

There are high paying positions at power plants that are being vacated throughout the United States by older employees who are retiring. These positions offer great pay, incredible opportunity for advancement, benefits, retirement plans, etc. How do I know? Because two years ago I was sitting in your shoes, searching free job postings, and getting very discouraged in the process because I only qualified for low paying dead end jobs…so I thought.

With persistence and a little further research I discovered that the power supply industry offered some of the best jobs , but to be qualified for operator positions, I would have to take a test called the POSS Test . Although I hate tests and don’t like studying, I instinctively felt that putting in the time and effort to pass was my best shot at breaking out of my financial rut once and for all. The bottom-of-the-rung operator positions paid over $20 per hour with line of progression promotions up to $35/hour. That’s the kind of high paying job I needed and that’s why I didn’t mind studying.

Within two months, I got hired, and two fast promotions later, my salary jumped to an incredible $85K for the year, with full benefits! I later found out that many of my coworkers had similar stories. What made the difference was my willingness to do whatever it took, but in the end the free job postings paid off.

Many people know that employees at utility companies receive high pay, but what many people don’t know is that the industry as a whole is experiencing a worker shortage. Why?? Because employees who got hired 30 years ago and now being forced to retire because of old age. And their exit is the key to your employment.

A high percentage of power plant employees are at or near retirement age and are exiting at an unprecedented rate. And that creates career choices and the possibility for you to enjoy rapid advancement like I have.

So while scanning the job postings is important, it’s having an attitude and a willingness to put in just a bit more effort than the next guy that will enable you to enjoy success, too!
