With the ever changing dynamic of the world economy and industries, it’s often difficult to predict which jobs will be in demand 20, 10, 5, or even 2 years from now. Volatility in the marketplace is at an all-time high, and this has sent many workers scrambling for stability, hoping beyond hope that they can find
high paying jobs
that they won’t have to worry over. I recently came across an industry that really is perfect for all the scenarios mentioned. It’s ideal for workers looking for a career change, or those new to the workforce who are looking for
jobs for teens.
Great stability, excellent benefits, and is an industry that will always be in demand, regardless of the economic climate.
I came upon this field a few short years ago while searching for high paying jobs. And after working within it for slightly over two years, I consider it a great opportunity and I started this website to share my experience of how I got hired, so hopefully you can, too. It’s a field that not many consider as a career choice when they finish their schooling because job openings were unheard of over the past several decades, so this industry got forgotten. But now with thousands of baby boomers forced to retire because of old age, the employment gates are opening as exiting baby boomers create job openings.
Once you gain entrance, advancing through the ranks in line of progression promotions become almost automatic, as I myself have experienced. By the end of my first year three people above me retired and I was moved up to replace them in a position that paid over $85,000.
Unlike the traditional interview process as found with most positions, there’s another important facet to gaining employment in this industry, and that’s the
POSS test,
a test designed to analyze the skills and aptitude of applicants in various areas. Included are tests for English comprehension, math skills, graphing and charting knowledge, and knowledge of the mechanical and technical aspects associated with the industry. These tests can be used to your advantage to help you get your foot in the door in this industry and gain access to a large selection of Houston jobs.
These jobs include:
• Meter Readers
• Meter Mechanics
• Boiler Operators
• Secretaries
• Janitors
• Lineman
• Payroll Clerks
As you can see, there’s a nice variety of Houston jobs available in this industry, suitable for a large cross section of society. Many of these positions require little to no advanced education or training, and offer very competitive pay rates, above the average seen in the American employment industry, not to mention great benefits and the all important stability and job security mentioned above.
I’ve worked in this field for a couple of years now and have nothing but good things to say about it, which is what inspired me to start my website and help spread the word. If you are curious about this great industry, please stop by my site for
